Depending on your status, you should be receiving anywhere from $300 to $600 between now and sometime next month. Our Congress Critters and our Commander in Chief, in their infinite wisdom, are going to be returning your money to you! Yep, the economy is down. Our businesses are on the ropes. The sky is falling!
So these great thinkers in Washington have decided that the best way to really “kick start” the economy is for you to get some of your tax dollars back and then for you to spend them! Well, I can’t argue with these wise and distinguished Americans! When my $600 check arrives I am going to spend it, but I’m spending it wisely.
"How wisely?", you might ask. I’ve really thought about this. Should I pay some bills? Should I put it aside in case of an emergency? Should I buy a plane ticket and go visit my mom and dad? Should I just use it to pay for the ongoing rape at the gas pump? My answer to these questions always came back to “NO!” I’m buying a new gun!!
This is “found money”. I had no idea I was going to get it until they made their announcement some six months ago. And being “found money”, I think I should buy something that reflects this fact. I’m thinking that the economic stimulus is like a payoff from a slot machine. I’ve put my tax money into the federal casino for years and years. Now I just hit a $600 jackpot and I’m going to go and get something for ME!
I’ve already decided what I’m getting, too! I’m buying a CZ 75 Compact Duo-Tone semi automatic pistol in 9 mm parabellum!! Yep, I’m gonna make one of these little guys mine! Actually a CZ 75 Compact isn’t all that little. It easily holds 14 + 1 rounds of whatever 9 mm you can stuff into its magazine. It weighs in at about 32 ounces without cartridges compared to my CZ RAMI that tips the scale at about 26 ounces, but it is all steel and it’s smaller than my full size CZ 75’s and a lot smaller than my CZ 97 B .45 ACP.
This will be the perfect addition to my CZ collection! I have blued, parkerized, chrome plated, nickel plated, and polycoated CZ’s, but no Duo-Tone! I think it’s time to end my suffering and get one! And what could be better than to use my “winnings” to make the purchase?
So my recommendation to you, my loyal readers, is to examine your closet. Examine your cabinet. Examine your gun safe. What are you missing? Do you have a really nice .22 rifle? Well now is the time to get one! How about a handsome single action revolver? Well go look at that Uberti or Ruger! Have you always wanted an AK 47? You can pick up a pretty good one for that $600!! Are you missing a defensive shotgun from your home protection inventory? Well now you can seriously look at what’s out there from Remington or Winchester!
Folks it doesn’t get much better than this! Our very own U.S. government is going to help us buy another firearm! Whoopee! Yee Ha!! Halleluiah!!
And if your selected firearm costs less than your refund…then I recommend that you do what I’ll be doing…BUY MORE AMMO!!
WE MUST REMAIN EVER VIGILANT…EVER WATCHFUL

Use your refund to buy gold or silver. You'll need something to hedge against the inflation sure to follow this latest gov't debacle. We have a gov't spending/printing out of control send a signal that we want REAL asset back monies again.
Stephen! I think a gold or silver plated firearm is a great idea!! As Section 11 is mostly about Nevada firearms regs, etc. I'm sure this is what you meant!!
I bought a Ruger Mini 14 with my rebate. I have wanted one for a while now, and figured i would do my part to help "stimulate" the economy. Although costing slightly more than i actually recieved from Uncle Sam, I am glad to get a good chunk of the cost covered.
